Software to prevent hackers from corrupting databases is acquired byfinancial IT giant

Financial software giant Oracle has acquired IT security business Secerno foran undisclosed sum.

?The Secerno acquisition is in direct response to increasing customerchallenges around mitigating database security risk,? said Andrew Mendelsohn,senior vice president of Oracle?s database server technologies.

Secerno is most famed for its ability to block hackers of large databases andhas won numerous awards through its SynoptiQ Engine which is able to suggestpolicies, analyse IT activity and prevent unauthorised accessV3.co.ukreported.

Oracle said the acquisition will build on its existing products and increaseregulatory compliance.
