Window for responses to HMRevenue & Customs' plans for improving the PAYEregime ends on Thursday 23 September, only four weeks away


HMRC has issued a reminder that the window for responses to a PAYEconsultation document ends on Thursday 23 September, only four weeks from now.

The taxman urged interested parties to submit their views as soon aspossible.

ThePAYE system was plagued by errors earlier this year, leading to sometaxpayers receiving incorrect notices of coding and paying too much tax. ButHMRevenue & Customs has made headway in resolving the issues.

It is also spearheading an overhaul of the wider PAYE regime through theconsultation.
