Thumbs up useful for p3

The stratergic position of a company can be analysed by a lot of models. these models are divided into those which are used to analyse the external position and those for the internal.
They are as follows:

EXTERNAL
1.Pestle
2.Porter's five forces
3.Porters diamond
4.Market segmentation
5.Competitor analysis
6.Stratergic groups
7.Life cycle model

INTERNAL
1.Value chain
2.9Ms model
3.Product life cycle
4.Benchmarking
5.Financial analysis
6.Innovation and knowledge management.

Current position Corporate appraisal can be analysed by SWOT.For SWOT it may be broken into SW for the internal and OT for the external.

Let us analyse these models by asking the following questions
1.What it is
2.Why it is used
3.When it is used
4.How it is used
5.Benefits and limitations

good summary... but i think for exam purpose, some of these models are not so important (i.e. financial analysis)... but still, good track to do revision.
