friend, if u only know porter n PESTEL now, u probably in big trouble. P3 cover a lot areas. Porter's 5 competitive forces and PESTEL are only models for external appraisal, which external appraisal is a small topic in Johson, Scholes, and Whittington's strategic model of strategic planning. JSW's strategic model of planning is only a part of delibrate strategy, there are also other strategic model of planning: Prof. J. C. Higgins model. Beside delibrate strategies, there are also emergent strategies, which add up to form the realistic strategies. Well, all those strategies only form the Section A case study only.

Section B cover more specific area of business: IS/IT, marketing, change mgt., etc.

Hope u know more than that o not u really looking for trouble with Steve Skidmore.
