BAKER TILLY HAS MERGED with Bath-based Richardson Groves, doubling its presence in the area.

Richardson Groves, which will work under the Baker Tilly brand, has particular expertise on owner-managed businesses and high net worth private clients. The joined firms will continue this focus.

This is the second merger for Baker Tilly in the South West in the last 12 months. It merged with Bath-based Robson Taylor in April last year.

Ruth Foreman managing partner at Baker Tilly in the South West said: "Merging with Richardson Groves substantially increases Baker Tilly's offering for Bath, and beyond and will allow us to continue to grow our business in the South West.

"We believe that our clients and staff will reap the benefits of combining the businesses as we capitalise on the opportunities for long term success."

Richardson Groves employees, consisting of three partners and 22 staff, will transfer to the Baker Tilly offices in Charter House.
