Firm doubles previous year's appointments


KPMG has appointed 37 new partners and 110 new directors ? double the numberof appoints in 2009.

The news follows last week?s announcement the accounting firm's UK headcountwould increase by about 3,000.

John Griffith-Jones, senior partner with KPMG, said the appointments are inline with attempts to grow the firm.

?In order to deliver the best service to clients we need to enable our bestpeople to flourish in an environment where high performance is recognised andrewarded,? he said.
