Deloitte's global CEO Jim Quigley hopes to create a "borderless enterprise"with the introduction of its As One strategy


Deloitte's global CEO Jim Quigley hopes to unify its member firms so theyserve clients in exactly the same manner.

Quigley's "As One" strategy is due to roll out across all Deloitte'spractices over the next two years.

Speaking to Accountancy Age, Quigley said that international clientsshould be treated consistently across borders.

"There should not be one type of methodology in Canada and a different inJapan, there should be a single structure used by all practices," said Quigley.

"[I want a] very simple borderless enterprise where all the practicesglobally behave as one."

Quigley is travelling to all of Deloitte's regions informing staff of how theAs One strategy will affect them. He has already spoken to staff in theNetherlands and US, but a date for his trip to the UK has yet to be arranged.

He hopes to overhaul the firm's technology to create a platform for the newstrategy and is due to meet the firms' chief information officers later thisyear.

Deloitte's recent global results show strong growth in emerging economies andAmericas, however, EMEA revenues declined 3%.

Quigley said the emerging markets are the fastest growing and EMEA is slowerto recover following the recession.

"As a professional service firm we are not immune to the recession or theslowdown," he said.
