Accounting firm recruits green arm

Ernst & Young is hoping to take advantage of a surge in sustainabilityaccounting, recruiting 300 advisers to a new division,The Timesreports.

The Big Four firm has also brought about 100 staff from its consulting,audit, tax and corporate finance divisions to form the new division, which willtake advantage of the perceived accounting growth area.

The large accounting firms are each predicting dramatic growth in greenaccounting. In February, KPMG announced the appointment of Yvo de Boer, formerhead of the UN?s climate change body.
