Scottish accountancy practice Johnston Carmichael sees revenues climb toŁ26.9m despite fragile economy


Top 25 Scottish practice Johnston Carmichael has announced a 10% jump in itsrevenue following expansion of its business in Glasgow and Edinburgh.

Turnover for the year ended 31 May 2010 rose to Ł26.9m despite difficulteconomic conditions and higher than the firm?s estimated income provided forthis month?sAccountancy Age Top 50+50.

The two offices in Scotland?s biggest cities grew fee income by 36%, nowaccounting for nearly a third of its income. The firm also acquiredEdinburgh-based practice Duncan Young last year.
