Financial Reporting Review to decide whether directors should be re-elected

The corporate governance watchdog is to decide this week whether it shouldpush ahead with measures forcing company directors to face annual re-election.

The Financial Reporting Council will decide on Friday this week whethershareholders should be asked to confirm directors in their posts each year.

The FRC has been considering corporate governance in the wake of the crisiswith the new consultation following on from recommendations contained in theWalker Review published last year.
