I failed it once as well, passed it second time. My experience is that is 50% to the lecturer and 50% up to yourself whether you pass or not. The best way to study is to do past exam questions for the last 3-4 years - you could print them from the acca website & find really good lecturer who could explain with plain words the meaning of this subject. It is not too bad at the end if you can get good enough lecturer i.e. who are able to explain the most complicated stuff in the most simple and understandable way. I suppose this applies for all subjects but some of them are a bit tougher than others.

If you need further study material for F9, check out Tony Surridge Co Uk
They have F9 study materials and Revision books at just £3 each, which is then downloaded to your computer.

They are quite big too, between 300 - 600 pages!

I know they have also said they would start doing online distance revision courses for F9 ready for the Dec 09 sitting. They haven't launched it yet, but I heard they are planning to get it ready for after the summer.

Tony Surridge Co Uk i think is the website.

Good day,
In my opinion, practice as much as you can for NPV, cost of capital / CAPM and it's will help you a lot.
There is at least 10 easy marks to grab for NPV
Another at least 5 marks for CAPM if its out ...

For theory, just memorize if you unable to figure out / understand for the topic....
e.g capital rationing, cost of capital, forward exchange rate ....
The last ways to follow especially exam around the corner

That's what i do in last sitting and i survive in the battle....
