Default hi jessy

this is asadullah,
i am also going to attempt f4, f5 and f6 in december session, very friendly i would like to advise you that please do not leave ant section in F4 because its totally theory based paper and you do not expect that from which area the paper will bw prepared, if you want to go for tips;then remember these areas for F4:

English Legal System ( The system of court or may be one case law and the precedent discussion)

Employment Law ( Dismissal)

Contarct ( Tort, dismissal of contract, terms and consideration)

Partnership ( death of partner, liability of partner in case of winding up)

Money Laundering and criminal offences chapter

Company Law ( Articles, Vacation of director's office, director's powers, members, books of a company auditor's procedures of appointment, resolutions, liquidation)

F6 Core areas,

Employment Income, income from self-employment, NIC, Income tax liability)

Corporation Tax ( Adjusted trading profit, 2 accounting periods, CTL)

Capital Gains ( Capital gains, capital gains tax)

VAT ( calculations and theory about to 10 mark)

Specially you must practice on computation of capital allowances that may look easy but they are very complicated area of the f6 syllabus according to the examiner's point of view.

For further help kindly ask

well jessykoay is from malaysia so he wont be taking the variant that you're taking in pakistan , asadullah. Well i suppose you should concentrate on famous landmark cases for MYS variant F4 paper. Such as the salomon vs salomon , turquand vs royal b bank , greenhalgh , and many more which i have yet to memorise.. xD

well F5 is reli alot about computations and then giving your comment , conclusions about the computations that you have just done. ITs a tough paper judging by the passing rate =( i hope im one of the thousands that will pass this paper. Anyway good luck n godspeed. We have 3weeks from today until F5 starts. =)

There is no hard n fast rule regarding the proportion of calculation and commentry, it all depends on the examiner that how he sets the paper...

However, there not a big difference btw d proportion of calculations and commentry.. But commentry is what makes the difference in F5 and F9 with those of fundamental level papers.

F9 is way different than F5. F9 is finance paper. xD Portfolio theory , MM theory, CAPM.. even though i havent done F9 but i read alot about it on the student magazine... F5 is a tough cookie but hey.. 50marks and im done =)
so good luck to everyone taking the dec 08 seating.
