Default Intangible assets

Hello,

Please could you explain why the following statement is incorrect?

"If the conditions specified in IAS 38 intangible assets are met, development expenditure may be capitalised, if the directors decide to do so."

Thank you for your help,

Stewart

The most simple and easy definition to understand intangible assets is, An asset that is not physical in nature. Corporate intellectual property items such as patents, trademarks, copyrights, goodwill, brands etc all are known as intangible assets in today's market. If you talking about Ias38 so it totally on intangible assets. While studying F3 you must experience all these things.
