i'm just wondering how publishers (Kaplan, BPP whoever) know about which areas to be emphasized at upcoming session. I guess there's obvious collusion between ACCA and their approved tutors to get more money on such materials called tips, guide, etc....

I don't think they know.
They are probably just predictions by their authors that have many years of experience in teaching ACCA subjects.
